Those were some of the questions discussed during WiTech’s Tech Talk hosted by Sigma Technology in Växjö on March 30. Over 40 participants from local companies, academia, and the public sector attended the event.

Hack the Crisis Sweden gathers over 7,000 participants

​48 hours, 7,439 participants, and 500+ submissions – this is Hack the Crisis Sweden in short. Last weekend, Hack for Sweden and Openhack, powered by the support from the Swedish Government and DIGG conducted the 48-hour online hackathon. One of Sigma Technology hack teams with the solution Immune Volunteer Portal has placed #2 in the category Save Communities (Concept Solution).

Haveriet - a call to action for our seas

Haveriet is Sigma and Danir’s next initiative for a better tomorrow. They plan to use Haveriet to inform people about life below the surface, explain just how important the oceans are to us humans and spread knowledge about the acute critical conditions existing along our Swedish coast.

First Female Network Forum gathers 200 tech women in Gothenburg

“Cooperation and networking are essential for all of us because our networks can grow, we can help more women, and companies can take a stand for equality. Our collaboration completes a life cycle,” the conclusion voiced by several networks during the panel discussion at Female Network Forum in Gothenburg, the first joint platform for female tech networks and initiatives in the Gothenburg region.

First Female Network Forum takes place in Gothenburg

Female Network Forum will take place in Gothenburg on February 27th. The event aims to create a platform for inspiration and knowledge sharing and bring to light female IT and technology networks. Female Network Forum was fully booked in less than a week, and the waiting list keeps growing.

Skool Makes Technology Attractive for Girls in Hungary

Encouraging girls to choose technology as a possible career – this is the vision of the Skool project, the initiative started by the Technology in Education Foundation, Hungary, Budapest. Female IT Network WiTech Celebrates One Year

The female IT network WiTech has grown from 0 to 200 active members during its first year. Today, women from over 40 companies in Kronoberg and Kalmar region attend WiTech’s tech talks and casual afterworks. On November 24, WiTech arranged an anniversary event at Sigma Technology’s new office in ICON, Växjö.
