They want to highlight the problem that there are too few girls who are applying for engineering programs at a technical college or university. The number rises a little each year, but the process is moving slowly. At the same time, the tech industry is screaming for people and needs access to the entire population.

​Skool, a non-profit organization in Hungary that inspires girls to choose technology for their future, usually arranges physical events and workshops, programming boot camps, and mentoring sessions. The quarantine and lockdown period didn’t stop them in their mission of spreading knowledge and inspiration. This May, we took part in the first online workshop for girls together with Skool.

First Female Network Forum gathers 200 tech women in Gothenburg

“Cooperation and networking are essential for all of us because our networks can grow, we can help more women, and companies can take a stand for equality. Our collaboration completes a life cycle,” the conclusion voiced by several networks during the panel discussion at Female Network Forum in Gothenburg, the first joint platform for female tech networks and initiatives in the Gothenburg region.

First Female Network Forum takes place in Gothenburg

Female Network Forum will take place in Gothenburg on February 27th. The event aims to create a platform for inspiration and knowledge sharing and bring to light female IT and technology networks. Female Network Forum was fully booked in less than a week, and the waiting list keeps growing.
