Sigma Technology Group acquires ETECTURE GmbH to strengthen digital transformation offer in the German market
Sigma Technology Group continues scaling up its business activities in the Digital Revolution direction and, along with recently established companies in Norway and Sweden, has announced the strategic acquisition of ETECTURE GmbH, a company with a solid background in digitalization solutions. The company is located in Baden-Württemberg, one of the strongest regions in Germany. As part of the Four Motors for Europe network, Baden-Württemberg is home to some of the biggest German companies, including Daimler, Porsche, SAP, and Bosch. MOSOLF SE & Co. KG, a leading technology and logistics service provider for the international automotive industry, becomes the second shareholder partner, allowing together to amplify digitalization expertise in the corresponding sector.
“Electrification and digitalization drive the global economy and our business. Together with our customers, we make a difference that changes people’s lives and contributes to a sustainable future. I’m eager to announce that we are continuing our global expansion by acquiring ETECTURE, a well-known brand in the German market, famous for its incredible scalability and successful track record with strategic customers,” says Carl Vikingsson, CEO at Sigma Technology Group and continues, “We are proud to have MOSOLF as our investment partner. Their extensive know-how in the logistics and transport sector and ambition in digitalization combined with the stability of being a family-owned business gives us confidence in the success of this acquisition."
According to the acquisition agreement, ETECTURE will be an independent company within the global Sigma Technology network and family, sharing the organization’s philosophy “Local Drive – Global Strength”. It means ETECTURE will strive to take root in the TOP 3 in their market with a global strength that supports their operations and growth. As a service provider, Sigma Technology will share insights, competence, and capacity to serve the existing customers, and provide a broader scope of business by adding additional services such as R&D, connectivity, and electrification solutions. As an employer, Sigma Technology aims to strengthen both its external and internal attractiveness for top talents in Germany.
Francesco Loth, co-CEO at ETECTURE, comments: “Our clients needed support along the entire value chain, which did not only require more extensive digital know-how but also more human resources. That’s why we were looking for partners able to complement our expertise and increase our capacity, which we have now found in Sigma and Mosolf.” Stefan Dangel, co-CEO at ETECTURE, also adds: “with Sigma and its 3,850 employees at our back, ETECTURE will support customers with competencies and capacities for projects in the context of digital transformation, and will offer stable and reliable implementations for long-term, large and international projects.”
"Our strategic vision is to independently offer modern digitalization topics in the mobility sector for our customers in order to even better meet the high demand for digital transformation solutions. For this purpose, ETECTURE's products and services are a perfect extension of our comprehensive portfolio of digital projects and services," Dr. Jörg Mosolf, CEO of the MOSOLF Group, expresses his motives. "Digital processes have always been a priority for us. Working closely with customers, our digital infrastructure is already authoritative in the markets. In combination with the business and technology expertise of Sigma Techology Group, we are igniting a new level of digitalization for our processes with customers with this investment," continues Dr. Mosolf.
