Norconsult acquires Sigma Civil – strong industrial logic forms the basis of the deal
Norconsult Sweden has acquired Sigma Civil, a company with 125 employees primarily based in Malmö, Gothenburg, Umeå, and Karlstad, from the Danir Group.
The acquisition aligns with Norconsult's strategy for Nordic growth and local presence while also expanding its expertise.
Sigma Civil represents a small part of Danir Group's operations, which employ 10,000 people. No other company within the group works in the same field as Sigma Civil, resulting in limited synergies. Danir has concluded that Sigma Civil has greater development potential within Norconsult, which boasts extensive operations in the urban development sector and a broad portfolio of projects that support Sigma Civil's business. Danir Group will retain its primary focus on IT as well as Research and Development.

The Norconsult Group, headquartered in Oslo, employs approximately 6,500 people and is one of the Nordic region’s leading consulting firms in urban development. Norconsult combines engineering, architecture, and digital expertise to deliver projects for both private and public clients. The company, listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, is rapidly expanding in Sweden, with about 1,400 employees across 40 locations nationwide and its Swedish headquarters in Gothenburg.
