On 13th of October, Sigma Technology Hungary gathered partners and employees to open a new bigger office space in the center of Budapest that will accommodate up to 100 employees. This occasion was also united with the celebration of Sigma’s 30th birthday anniversary.
Risto Kesti has been Regional Manager at Sigma Technology MID AB when the company was started in December last year. After just eight months the company has grown up to 19 employees. Now Risto takes over two new roles: Deputy CEO at Sigma Technology MID AB and Key Account Manager for Saab AB from Sigma Group.
Sigma Industry West takes over Aker Solutions’ unit in Gothenburg with 90 employees and becomes a leading provider of underwater technology engineering services. The acquisition is part of the strategy to expand the business to include energy and marine constructions.
We are glad to announce that Anna Wallinder will further reinforce the Skåne region with her outstanding qualifications. Anna Wallinder will start as Manager at Sigma Technology in Lund/Malmö during 2016/2017.
During spring and autumn 2014, Sigma Technology passed the surveillance audit and had once again successfully renewed three ISO certifications, which are Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001), and Information Security (ISO 27001).
On November 19th the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden, in cooperation with leading Swedish companies operating on the Hungarian market, hosted an Innovation Ecosystem Café, held within the frameworks of Swedish-Hungarian Smart forum 2014. This year the main topic for discussion was the Innovation Ecosystem and the ways of developing it. Sigma Technology Hungary was an active participant.
