The ten most creative entries nominated for the final

After an incredible effort from middle school classes across the country, the jury has completed an exciting selection process and chosen the ten finalists for the Experts of Tomorrow Innovation Race! Finalists from Luleå in the north to Skanör/Falsterbo in the south have impressed with their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical innovations. On March 14, they will meet in the grand finale, where the experts of tomorrow will be announced. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube — an opportunity for everyone to cheer on Sweden´s young tech talents as they step into the spotlight!

Ten middle school classes from all over Sweden have made it to the finals of the first-ever Experts of Tomorrow Innovation Race. After receiving an impressive number of competition entries, the jury has now chosen the most innovative solutions that will compete for the top spot on March 14. Young tech talents have demonstrated world-class innovation and problem-solving from Luleå in the north to Skanör/Falsterbo in the south. The final will be live-streamed on YouTube, where the competition’s expert jury will crown the winners.

The interest in the competition has been high among the Swedish middle school classes. A total of 150 school classes participated with creative and innovative solutions. This year’s Innovation Race challenged the participating classes to create something that could make their hometown or city and the daily life there more fun, better, safer, and/or easier.

During the live final on March 14, the jury, led by Magnus Göransson, known from TV4’s LEGO Masters, will present the ten finalists and announce the winning class.

“We have seen fantastic ideas this year, and it will be exciting to see who the jury selects as the winner. The competition is tough, and we know it will be a real nail-biter in the final,” says Johan Glennmo, Chairman of Sigma Group.

Experts of Tomorrow Innovation Race – Encouraging Young Peopl’s Interest in Technology

Young people’s interest in technology is declining rapidly, which is leading to a continued shortage of engineers and technical expertise in the future. To counteract this, Sigma has launched the Experts of Tomorrow Innovation Race, a competition aimed at middle school classes across Sweden. The goal is to capture and strengthen the enthusiasm for technology that is still strong in middle school before it declines in high school. Through this challenging and inspiring competition, Sigma hopes to motivate more young people to pursue a technical education and pave the way for more engineers of the future.
