Sigma Technology Wins IT Framework Agreement with the Swedish Defence Conscription and Assessment Agency
Sigma Technology has secured yet another significant framework agreement within the public sector. This time, it concerns an IT framework agreement with the Swedish Defence Conscription and Assessment Agency (Totalförsvarets plikt- och prövningsverk in Swedish), covering IT consulting services in system development, UX, and business development. The agreement enters into force on May 1, 2026, and will run for four years.
The Swedish Defence Conscription and Assessment Agency, an expert authority under the Swedish Ministry of Defence, works to strengthen Sweden’s internal and external security — placing high demands on an IT environment that must be both high‑performing and secure. The procurement of IT consulting services aims to support the agency’s operations in system development, business development, and UX/UI. Following a thorough tender process, Sigma Technology Information was selected as the sole supplier. The agency has headquarters in Karlstad, a city that has long been identified as a key growth location for Sigma Technology.
Sigma Technology has been established in Karlstad since 2001, with a centrally located office on Kungsgatan 12. This agreement is part of the company’s continued expansion within the public sector, a high‑priority area for Sigma Technology. Johan Thornadtsson, President at Sigma Technology Information, comments:
“We look forward to supporting the Swedish Defence Conscription and Assessment Agency’s important mission with our broad expertise in digitalization and system development. Our long industry experience and high standards in information security will be crucial for this collaboration. It is fantastic that we have been chosen as the sole supplier in this agreement.”
“This agreement reflects the trust we have earned in delivering IT consulting services for the vital societal functions that the agency fulfills in its mission within Sweden’s total defence and the Swedish Police authority. We look forward to supporting their IT operations with our expertise and knowledge,” adds Johan Edlund, President at Sigma Technology IT Group.
