Sigma Technology Tech House and Wedholms Collaborate to Develop Next-Generation Milk Cooling Control System
Sigma Technology Tech House and Wedholms announce a groundbreaking collaboration to revolutionize milk cooling technology with the development of the Argos 2 control system. This partnership brings together Sigma Technology's expertise in IoT and smart connected products with Wedholms' longstanding legacy in the dairy industry, promising to set new standards for milk cooling technology.
Wedholms, a Swedish company with a rich history dating back over 145 years, manufactures and engineers milk cooling tanks and silos. With a vision to become a global leader in energy-efficient and sustainable solutions, Wedholms sought a development partner that could enhance its product offerings with innovative digital capabilities.
Sigma Technology Tech House will focus on developing the Argos 2 control system, which will serve as the interface between operators and milk cooling tanks. This advanced system will guarantee the quality of the milk stored in the tanks by controlling, supervising, and monitoring all cooling and cleaning operations. Designed to be monitored and operated both locally and remotely, Argos 2 is compatible with automatic milking systems and supports flexible tank-to-tank communication, making it a key innovation in the dairy industry.
Philip Ring, Product Development Manager, comments: “We are excited to start this collaboration with Sigma Technology Tech House to set a world-class control system in place. The cooperation result will help us continue our growth to win more business over the years.”
"We are thrilled to contribute to this project and watch the product take shape," said Andreas Berggren, Head of Sales at Sigma Technology Tech House. "This collaboration allows us to use our expertise to create a world-class end-to-end infrastructure for milk cooling systems, helping to ensure the highest standards of milk quality and operational efficiency."
Niklas Tinglöf, Senior IoT Advisor at Sigma Technology Tech House, emphasizes the significance of this collaboration: "The Argos 2 project perfectly aligns with our core strengths in developing smart, connected products. We are excited to leverage our extensive experience in IoT to create an innovative control system that meets the evolving needs of the dairy industry. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive industry advancement."
