Sigma Technology in collaboration with Trädet Web to promote inclusive reading development

Sigma Technology supports Trädet Web – a digital tool that promotes reading development in Swedish schools, adult education and special education programs. The platform plays a key role in enabling inclusive and equitable education. Sigma Technology contributes with technical expertise, operations and continuous development to ensure a stable and future-proof solution – which gives teachers better opportunities to reach every student.

In a country where approximately 5–8% of the population is affected by dyslexia, tools like Trädet Web are vital in supporting inclusive education and meeting national goals for reading comprehension. Designed to strengthen reading development for learners of all ages and abilities, Trädet Web offers pedagogical structure that empowers both students and educators.

Developed by Pelle Lindblå, who has worked with reading and writing difficulties for over 30 years, Trädet Web is grounded in pedagogical research and practical classroom experience. The program is designed to meet each learner where they are, offering tools both for students who need a boost and for those who need deeper support to overcome foundational challenges.

Pelle Lindblå comments: “We are very pleased with the results. Today, Trädet Web plays an important role in supporting reading development for a wide range of students, from preschoolers to adult learners. Our collaboration with Sigma continues, and we greatly appreciate the work of Erik Hult, our lead consultant and developer.”

Sigma Technology Informatics Solutions contributes to the development, operation, and support of Trädet Web. Widely used across Swedish preschools, primary and secondary schools, upper-secondary education, adult learning, SFI (Swedish for Immigrants), and special education, the platform plays an essential role in promoting inclusive and accessible learning.

Erik Hult, an expert at Sigma Technology Informatics Solutions, comments: "Trädet Web proves how digital tools, when rooted in research and built with care, can transform the way students engage with reading. We’re proud to contribute to a platform that helps teachers reach every learner."

With Sweden’s strong national focus on digital transformation in education and the increasing demand for individualized support, Trädet Web stands out as a crucial component of the modern learning landscape.
