Press release -

Sigma Technology and iioote Strengthen Cooperation to Enable Industrial Internet of Things Applications

Sigma Technology Solutions has been a professional competence partner to iioote, Gothenburg-based industrial IoT provider, for several years. As iioote is preparing to scale up and launch new products, Sigma experts are ready to support them with high-end IoT competences.

iioote aims to accelerate IoT's development with advanced technologies helping organizations make smart and sustainable decisions. They develop high-performing IoT solutions and provide IoT consultancy for their customers in industrial, municipal, and public sectors.

Recently, iioote has successfully introduced its battery-driven sensors and industrial IoT solutions to clients in the waste management and recycling sector, helping them collect information on the number of visitors, weather dependency, behavior patterns, and containers’ usage. With the help of data, organizations can optimize their processes and resources, automate operations, and implement predictive maintenance.

“Following UN sustainable development goals, we aim to minimize the waste of resources and help industrial and service companies make smart and sustainable decisions. The industrial IoT solutions and services that we provide to our clients can monitor many kinds of data to analyze usage, behavioral patterns, and efficiency of our client’s business. With this information, they can optimize their resources, minimize environmental footprint, and save their costs. Moreover, sensors keep track of the number of visitors in the premises, helping clients avoid crowds and follow health recommendations, which is especially important in the post-pandemic times,” says Robert Spertina, Head of IoT at iioote.

During the rollout of iioote’s battery-driven sensor, Sigma’s information engineer has contributed to creating user-centered product information for their product, helping iioote deliver excellent product experience.

“iioote’s vision of bringing the power of data and connectivity to help people make smart decisions is close to us. We are looking forward to continuing cooperation in the area of Internet of Things, data analytics, and information management in the future,” says Robert Åberg, Head of Digital Services at Sigma Technology.
