Sigma Industry West launches a new company within Life Science and MedTech

Sigma Industry West Group continues to grow and is launching Sigma Industry LifeTech, focusing on Life Science and medical technology.

With the launch of Sigma Industry LifeTech, the group further expands its offering within product development in Life Science and MedTech, delivering complete and regulatory-compliant development projects.

The company develops medical devices, digital health solutions, and technology for the pharmaceutical industry – from early concept studies to verification, validation, and industrialization. Its operations cover both smaller and larger assignments, where the company can contribute in specific project phases or act as a long-term development partner. Work is carried out in cross-functional teams covering the entire development lifecycle, from needs analysis and risk management to design, engineering, and documentation, as well as preparations for market approval in accordance with standards such as ISO 13485, MDR, and FDA.

The industry is characterized by rapid innovation and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements. Sigma Industry LifeTech addresses these challenges through cross-functional teams and deep technical expertise, focusing on integrated development solutions – from idea to finished product – that strengthen customers’ global competitiveness. The company is now actively recruiting engineers, aiming to reach a turnover of SEK 30 million by 2026.

– With our combined expertise in engineering, quality systems, and regulatory requirements, we develop safe and market-ready products – from idea to final solution. Whether it is a feasibility study, a proof of concept, or a larger development program, we find the right way forward. By integrating our specialist disciplines, we create real value and take responsibility for the entire process with a level of quality and reliability our customers can trust, says Hanna Lauvdal, CEO of Sigma Industry LifeTech.

– We are very pleased that Hanna Lauvdal is leading our new company, which already has several leading customers and has quickly built a strong team with extensive experience. LifeTech has a clear expansion plan with the ambition to become a preferred supplier to more customers, says Jens Wickström, CEO of Sigma Industry West Group.

Since its establishment in 2014, Sigma Industry West has grown significantly and today is a group employing 600 people, primarily in Sweden, with operations also in Norway, Poland, Egypt, and the United States. All companies have achieved strong organic growth while maintaining solid profitability. In 2026, the group aims to reach a turnover of SEK 850 million.

– Our ambition is to build a company that combines deep technical expertise with a modern, agile way of working and strong innovation capabilities. We are now looking for talents who want to join us from the start and help shape both our culture and our offering. Our goal is to become one of the most attractive employers in Western Sweden, continues Hanna Lauvdal.
