Sigma founder Dan Olofsson joins the Leadership Council of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights
Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights announces that Dan Olofsson becomes a member of the organization's Leadership Council.
Led by human rights activist and lawyer Kerry Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights has advocated for a more just and peaceful world since 1968. They work alongside local activists to ensure lasting positive change in governments and corporations. Their team includes leading attorneys, advocates, entrepreneurs and writers united by a commitment to social justice.
“In Sweden, we have the privilege of living in a country where human rights are largely respected. But in many other countries, it is not so. People are violated and abused.”, says Dan Olofsson.
“Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights is an important organization that carries out a comprehensive international work on human rights. Young leaders are trained, legal cases pursued, activists supported, governments held responsible and companies are influenced. All this in the spirit of Robert Kennedy.”, continues Dan Olofsson.
“Of course, it is a great honor to be elected in their Leadership Council, where several of our time’s significant leaders offer their support to the organization.”, concludes Dan Olofsson.
Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights announces:
We are honored to have Dan Olofsson become a member of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Leadership Council among many such inspired members committed to continuing Robert F. Kennedy’s legacy to stand against oppression and fight for justice.
Dan Olofsson has expanded the Swedish family held group Danir across 14 countries over the last 32 years. The core holding is the consulting firm Sigma Group with 4,300 employees working with research and development. Together with his wife Christin, they are the founders of Star for Life, a prevention program against HIV/AIDS in Southern Africa where 300,000 young people have benefited through the program. Olofsson is also a founder of the job creation program Uppstart Malmö.
We are delighted to have Olofsson join our esteemed membership and look forward to the insight he will bring in helping us achieve a more just and peaceful world. Along with Ethel Kennedy, as well as President Bill Clinton, Amartya Sen, Caroline Kennedy, Archbishop Tutu, and other Nobel Peace Prize laureates, additional members of the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Leadership Council include leaders in government, business, and entertainment to guide us through these changing times.
