Sigma Connectivity develops reference design based on Qualcomm IoT System-on-Chip
- Sigma Connectivity utilizes Qualcomm® IoT solution to deliver new offering.
Sigma Connectivity is developing a reference design based on the Qualcomm® QCM6490 from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. that enables a variety of reference designs addressing specific IOT applications. The discrete design enables a lower barrier of entry for industry customers and enhanced customizability at a significantly lower cost.
Sigma Connectivity offers project cost and lead time reduction, efficient component sourcing, and rapid prototyping, as well as development and commercial licensing.
“Building a reference design using the Qualcomm QCM6490 will create real value throughout the development process for our customers. This platform not only strengthens our offering using Qualcomm Technologies but will ultimately benefit the entire IoT industry by enabling use cases not feasible before” – Mikael Persson, CTO Sigma Connectivity.
“The collaboration with Sigma Connectivity on the Qualcomm QCM6490 reference design will help further enable the growth of next-generation IoT devices for the Connected Intelligent Edge and accelerate digital transformation in industries like retail, logistics, manufacturing, and energy” said Sebastiano Di Filippo, Senior Director, Business Development, Qualcomm Europe, Inc. “With on-device AI, 5G, and Wi-Fi 6E capabilities, the solution is optimized for various commercial and industrial IoT applications, delivering premium features with power efficiency.”
