Prolonging Product Life: Sigma Technology and Wheelplace Launch a Platform for Second-Hand Tires and Rims

Sigma Technology Insight Solutions announced its collaboration with Wheelplace, a platform designed to facilitate the buying and selling of used tires and rims. This initiative is a crucial step toward improving sustainability and prolonging the life of essential vehicle components.

Sigma Technology Insight Solutions, part of Sigma Technology Group, took full responsibility for the project, from concept to launch. The team was involved in the design, UX/UI, development, and implementation of advanced technologies, including an upcoming feature release – a unique AI solution.

"Our collaboration with Wheelplace represents our commitment to delivering technology solutions that make a meaningful impact. Sustainability is at the core of this project, and we are proud to have developed a platform that not only benefits individual consumers but also aligns with Sweden’s broader goals of promoting resource efficiency and responsible consumption," said Robert Åberg, President at Sigma Technology Insight Solutions.

Wheelplace's purpose is to simplify the buying and selling of used tires and rims. By providing independent customer support and a straightforward marketplace, the platform creates optimal conditions for reuse, enhancing resource utilization. The upcoming AI tool will ensure customers are matched with the most suitable options based on their specific needs, contributing to smarter and more sustainable purchasing decisions.

Sigma Technology Insight Solutions believes that by making this process easier and more secure, Wheelplace will continue to grow as a key player in the second-hand automotive market, contributing to a more sustainable future for Sweden.
