Press release -
New system for AB Transitio's vehicle documentation
Sigma IT's business unit Asset has signed an agreement with Transitio on a new unified vehicle documentation system. Transitio is owned by 20 county councils, regions and public transport authorities and has the task of procuring, financing and managing rail vehicles for its owners.
The new system will provide many benefits. Vehicle documentation is collected in one and the same database, instead of in different systems and binders. This makes it more accessible and the daily work both easier and safer.
“We look forward to a good collaboration and a system that will support our internal work and simplify for the users of the vehicle documentation,” says Eva Sandberg, Head of the Vehicle Administration.
The implementation project, which includes configuration of the system and migration of Transitio's existing vehicle documentation, has started. The system is planned to be implemented and launched with migrated vehicle documentation before the end of the year.
"It’s fantastic to be part of Transitio's initiative on handling vehicle documentation. A project where efficiency and security are two keywords," says Peter Lorenz, Business Area Manager Sigma Asset.
The project also includes training on the new system. Due to the current situation with the Corona pandemic, a special solution is required where workshops and all teaching take place remotely with virtual activities.
