Meet Sigma Technology at Möbelriksdagen 2023 in Tibro
Sigma Technology Group and Interior Cluster Sweden will be presenting on the upcoming EU legislation for Digital Product Passports at Möbelriksdagen 2023, the Swedish furniture and interior design industry's largest annual event. The event will take place in Tibro in September.
Sigma Technology Group, a leading tech consultancy and IT solutions provider, and Interior Cluster Sweden, a non-profit organization that supports the Swedish furniture and interior design industry, will be presenting at Möbelriksdagen 2023, the Swedish furniture and interior design industry's largest annual event. The event will take place in Tibro, Sweden, on September 28-29, 2023.
At the event, Niklas Malmros, CEO of Solutions Group at Sigma Technology Group, and Erik Lundh, Project Manager at Interior Cluster Sweden, will be speaking on the topic of " How Swedish Companies and Factories Can Prepare for the EU Legislation." Niklas and Erik will discuss the upcoming requirement from the European Union for all products sold in the EU to have a digital product passport. This passport will contain information about the product's sustainability, such as its materials, energy consumption, and recyclability. The purpose of this requirement is to increase the circular economy and reduce the environmental impact of products.
"We are excited to be presenting at Möbelriksdagen 2023. This is a great opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise on digital product passports with the Swedish furniture and interior design industry. We believe that digital product passports are a critical tool for companies that want to become more sustainable and competitive in the future,” says Niklas Malmros and adds: “It is important for Swedish companies and factories to start preparing for digital product passports now because it is a complex and evolving area of regulation, and it is important to get ahead of the curve. By networking with industry representatives and experts at such events as Möbelriksdagen, companies can ensure that they are compliant with the new regulations and that they are taking advantage of the opportunities that digital product passports offer."
Erik Lundh, Project Manager at Interior Cluster Sweden, comments: "At the Möbelriksdagen 2023 in Tibro, we will provide the latest information about digital product passports. Additionally, there will be an exhibition featuring products from the furniture industry equipped with digital product passports. The information along with the exhibition will help the furniture industry understand the significance and benefits of starting to work with digital product passports already at this time."
Möbelriksdagen 2023 is the Swedish furniture and interior design industry's largest annual event. The event will bring together over 2,000 industry professionals from Sweden and worldwide. The event will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities.
