AGCO chooses Sigma Technology for Global Technical Publications Release Project

Sigma Technology became a consulting partner to AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of agricultural solutions, to support them with global publishing services. We talked to Lars Foersom, Global Technical Publications Release Manager at AGCO, about cooperation between our companies.

AGCO’s Hungarian Shared Service Center is home to several AGCO services supporting all global factories, including HR, Finance AP, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), IT Service Desk, IT Web Applications, Warranty Recovery, and Technical Publications. Sigma Technology Hungary supports AGCO’s Budapest team in managing technical information from all AGCO global factories. The global release team takes care of all the steps in technical publications release, starting from quality check and translation to publishing of technical information.

Lars Foersom, Global Technical Publications Release Manager at AGCO, finds cooperation with Sigma Technology effective and open:

“We were looking for a consultant that can offer flexibility and competence. Sigma Technology is well-known in the technical publications business, and we got all that in our cooperation plus open-mindedness, creativity, and scalability of the team. The team I work with has the required skillset and works in a structured and autonomous way.

”Staffing a highly competent team is a challenge. Sigma Technology’s consultants are professionals who helped us to kick off the release project. The team can easily understand the procedures and start contributing to the project fast. I have worked with many consultant companies and appreciate the quality I receive from Sigma Technology.”

Today Sigma Technology Hungary supports AGCO with global publishing services for their legacy and new documentation in more than 30 languages. The team performs quality checks and reports back to AGCO’s documentation team to initiate the improvements.

”Although in terms of publication-related tasks we represent only a small segment of the complete documentation workflow, we believe that we perform an important part in the multisite processes and versatile customer documentation of a major company in the agricultural sector. We always keep in mind that we participate in company communication with its end consumers and the quality of our communication contributes to the company image,” says Gabriella Alexi, unit manager, and AGCO key account manager at Sigma Technology Hungary.
