Sigma Technology attended Nordic Startups event in Silicon Valley
On January 19th Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden visited Nordic Innovation House in Silicon Valley, met leading startups and got an insight into latest technology inventions. The event was co-hosted by Business Sweden and the Swedish Consulate General of San Francisco. The event highlighted the theme “The Nordics and Silicon Valley – From Startup to Success”. Sigma Technology USA Operations Manager, Liselotte Shafiee, was invited to the event and got an opportunity to meet the Royal Couple and Nordic entrepreneurs.
Silicon Valley, the cradle of startup and entrepreneurial spirit, has fostered hundreds of Nordic tech companies that decided to grow their business and presence on the global market in the US. Last year these organizations decided to create a shared Nordic community of technology partners, investors and service providers, which would streamline cooperation between startups and investors, reduce time to market and contribute to creation of great technological and innovative solutions.
During a three-day visit the Royal Couple together with Björn Lyrvall, Ambassador of Sweden to the US, visited the Computer History Museum in Mountain View where they were introduced to some of the most famous startups from Nordic Innovation House. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden also attended the panel discussion “The Nordics and Silicon Valley – From Startup to Success”, and learned about the top technology inventions.
“It was very honorable and exciting to be part of this event and meet so many prominent minds of the industry at the Nordic Innovation House event at the Computer History Museum. Sigma Technology USA has been present in Silicon Valley for one year, and we are always open to new technologies and keen to help our customers develop their innovative solutions,” comments Liselotte Shafiee.
