MATCH Program Brings Together Best CEE Startups and Swedish Enterprises
Sigma Technology, Ericsson, ABB, and AQ Anton have launched MATCH Startup Program under the aegis of the Embassy of Sweden in Hungary. The Program will identify startups in Central and Eastern Europe with innovative ideas in digitalization. The selected applicants will have a chance to network and pitch their ideas to the decision-makers from Sigma Technology, Ericsson, ABB, and AQ Anton in Budapest on June 14.
Sweden’s knack for startups is well-known, and is reflected in Stockholm’s nickname – “unicorn factory.” Indeed, Sweden has one of the most successful startup ecosystems, with high investment volumes, and numerous startups pursuing those funds. No wonder that this creative environment has yielded more unicorns per capita than any other city, and created an understanding of startup development principles that the four organizers of the MATCH Startup Program are ready to share.
Sigma Technology, Ericsson, ABB, and AQ Anton executives will spend a whole day together with the representatives of ten startups from the CEE region that seek to implement their innovative ideas within IoT, AI, and Machine Learning.
György Nagy, Country Manager at Sigma Technology Hungary, who will be one of the judges for MATCH Startup Program, says:
“Ideas move the world forward. Our ambition is to support innovators with immediate feedback and bring real-world business perspective into their solutions. Sigma has worked with many startups over the years, and while being a multinational company with more than 4,000 employees, we still show many startup-like characteristics. Personally, I will do my best to share Sigma’s own experiences with MATCH participants, and assist them in finding their path to success.”
